Film Transfer to DVD

A Film Transfer to DVD is a great way to preserve the longevity of your films. When you transfer your 8mm film to another video format you want it to look it's best. That is why at Icehouse Pictures we use only the latest digital transfer technology and engineering to deliver you the sharpest most vibrant picture available.

Our 8mm film transfer is completely digital from start to finish. Each film is projected directly onto the three pickups of a CCD HD digital camera which is then synched to a computer via firewire. There is no analog or digital tape involved in the process which means no color or film detail is lost during the transfer.

Our philosophy at Icehouse Pictures is to simplify the film transfer process. The simpler the process, the fewer steps at which distortion and loss of resolution could occur. We know how important your home movies are to you and that is why we place so much emphasis on making sure that your transfer will look as good if not better than the original films.
